REPAPER is an exhibition of 16 creations from recycled paper by creative people in different fields, from architect, designer, visual artist, to environmental educator.
They went to a recycle paper factory to observe the production lines from waste sorting, pulping, fiber boiling, paper pressing and water treatment system. They took various materials from the process, both finished products: paper sheets, rolls, and cores, and wastes, such as scraps and strips from cutting, dust from polishing, and used water to experiment and create work according to their interest. Yarnnakarn is proud to have been a part of this project .
” TERRAIN ” by Yarnnakarn
Miniature landscape sculptures were inspired by experiment with two different kinds of waste material. By mixing paper shreds together with clay factory waste, a new material was created to resemble natural stones.
Yarnnakarn used a mixture of recycled paper shreds and the scrap clay from ceramic production process to produce a porous material that can reserve moisture and air like natural stones. “Terrain” planting sculptures were designed from this new material following the growing habits of rocky terrain plants.

REPAPER presents various possible ways on how paper can be used with the interpretation from different aspects besides the ways it is normally used through 16 work pieces in the exhibition also disseminating techniques used to create work pieces in the exhibition through workshops.
REPAPER is not the conclusion but a starting point to inspire resource reduction and promote recycle materials.
